Game scene – UPDATED

A scene created for in-game engine use. First time using textures with normal maps.

All of the objects you see use unwrapped textures done in 3DS Max. Let’s take a closer look at one of the object in this scene: the vase in the center. I put a little more effort than simply applying standard textures on that one.

In order of appearance you will see the standard unwrap, texture map, specular and glossiness map and normal map.

Fun fact, the normal map was not done in Zbrush, but with a freeware program named CrazyBump.

While I agree ZBrush is powerful software, for a quick and painless process I prefer CrazyBump as it is amazingly simple to use.

Done for a SpaceCollective project, submitted to school. The goal for this was to do a piece of artwork that followed an already established style.
